My best summer job in college was at a camp where I got to organize philosophy discussions with kids aged 12-16 over freezy pops. We called it Frozen Philosophy.

A few years on, that's still more or less what I do — thinking alongside bold, thoughtful teams to wrestle with big ideas and put them into practice, to support real change in people’s lives and the systems around them.

Through think/feel/change, I work with philanthropies, grassroots organizations, and other mission-driven teams to:

🔎 articulate what they do and why it matters,
🧭 bring actionable structure to complex, messy questions,
💭 turn ideas into influence on policies, practices, and mindsets, and
👥 define and make approaches to equity real, in programmes and grantmaking.

I still bring snacks.

I've got a particular focus on equity, urban health, clean air, and early childhood — but I've worked across issues and geographies, in and alongside think tanks, foundations, corporations, social enterprises, NGOs, and government, learning from colleagues and partners. All of this has taught me to see the system, and the part each of us can play.

Connecting wonderful people is one of my great joys.
I co-convene Equity-in-Practice, a cross-sector group of practitioners working to make organizations and systems more equitable, who meet for peer learning and conversation (see Gatherings). I also organize informal socials for people working in social and environmental change. Interested in joining? I'd love to hear from you.

Where I'm coming from

Children and adults playing in a natural pool under tall trees and dappled shade in a tropical forest in Khao Yai, Thailand.
Working on the Van Leer Foundation's Urban95 initiative taught me about the power of public space. This natural forest pool attracts families and friends from far and wide in Khao Yai, Thailand, 2025.

I grew up in a Thai family near Washington, DC. Alongside regular extended visits to Bangkok, I now live in the rural north of England with my partner and child, learning about locally-led change through our county's climate and anti-racist action NGOs.

Being of — and also not quite of — many different places gave me an early awareness of the lottery of birth, and a commitment to helping build a world where everyone thrives.

Beyond lots of time with family and friends, I love books, cities, museums, YouTube karaoke while home doing laundry, and becoming a slow and steady trail runner. 🏃🏻‍♀️
