Here are five snapshots of work I've collaborated on. Each reflects a different challenge. Together, they give a sense of how I work with teams to make sense of complexity and move ideas into action.

1️⃣ Clean Air Fund — equity in programming

The world's only philanthropy focused entirely on clean air. I helped initiate and develop their approach to equity in programming—first as interim programme director, then as a consultant.

Before
Equity was surfacing as an important concern, but there wasn't yet a shared understanding across strategy and grantmaking.
After
A clearer understanding of why equity matters across outcomes and processes — plus guidance, training, and process shifts to embed it in programming.

2️⃣ Impact on Urban Health, part of Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation — program strategy and race equity in practice

A place-based health equity funder in Lambeth and Southwark, London, UK, with a 10-year program tackling the health effects of air pollution. I supported their program strategy refresh, clarifying vision, desired legacy, and focus areas through a series of team workshops. I'm now helping translate their commitment to race equity into a practical framework for strengthening the evidence and targeting programming.

Before
The only funder (to our knowledge) globally focused on air pollution and health equity, with a strong program entering its next phase, an organization-wide commitment to race equity, and limited clarity on how to apply it.
After (in progress)
A confident team and a clear, refreshed strategy narrative backed by practical tools, including criteria, visual maps, and a framework for tackling health inequalities related to air pollution, to target work where it matters most.

3️⃣ Clean Air Fund — catalyzing an innovative, cross-issue, community-funder partnership

Brought Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO) to Clean Air Fund’s attention and helped shape the next phase of a circular economy pilot by introducing pollution-focused activities and metrics, leading to Clean Air Fund's first co-funding partnership in the waste management sector, Zero Waste Accra.

Before
A strong community-led partnership with city government and a promising pilot.
After
An innovative partnership model for CAF, and broader funding and increased visibility for GAYO, part of the wider momentum on the way to their richly deserved Earthshot Prize recognition.

4️⃣ Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation — landscape mapping for a new portfolio

A global venture philanthropy fund. I worked closely with them to map the global landscape of childhood sexual violence prevention, healing, and justice to support a call for high-impact social enterprises and guide $5 million in funding.

Before
A bold initiative to address an urgent, underfunded issue, with limited clarity on where investing in proven solutions could have greatest impact.
After
A clear landscape and call for proposals, plus support for an expert review council, helping DRK identify innovative, scalable solutions for one of the world’s hardest challenges.

5️⃣ Sessions that move people

From big public stages to invitation-only retreats, I help teams bring clarity and heart to the story they’re sharing. I’ve worked alongside Impact on Urban Health, Start for Children, Van Leer Foundation, and Clean Air Fund to shape event narratives, suggest speakers, and design—and sometimes deliver—sessions and workshops that feel good to experience and to run.

Before
Accomplished teams with powerful ideas, but limited time or headspace to craft them into compelling sessions, or in need of fresh outside perspective.
After
Collaborative prep—and sometimes facilitation or moderation—to lift the pressure: clear story arcs, speaker support, and in-person or online session design that helps speakers show up with confidence and connect with their audiences.

More case studies coming. In the meantime, I’d be happy to share more—just get in touch: patrin(at)thinkfeelchange(dot)org
